Workspaces and autopilot: frequently asked questions
Short answers on how a workspace starts, when tasks run, approval modes, budgets, weekly reports and pausing.
Open this screen in the panelA workspace is an autonomous SEO loop for one site and one goal: analysis → plan → execution → report. Below are the questions people ask most. For step-by-step setup, see the Workspaces guide.
How do I create a workspace?
On Workspaces, click New workspace. Choose the site, goal, horizon (30, 60 or 90 days), pace, channels, approval mode and budget, then click Create plan. The plan is built from the site's latest SEO analysis. If there's no analysis yet, one runs first (1–2 minutes).
I created the plan. Why is nothing running?
A new workspace opens as a Draft, and drafts do nothing. Review and edit the tasks, then click Approve plan and start. Dates are realigned to the day you start.
Which goals can I choose?
There are five: Organic traffic, Keyword rankings, AI visibility, Local SEO and Technical cleanup. Progress is measured against the goal and shown in the weekly report.
Can I get plans for every goal at once?
Yes. Create drafts for all goals opens a separate draft for each goal, and every task lands in exactly one. Review the drafts and Start them one by one, or use Start all.
What does the pace do?
It sets how tasks are spread over the weeks: Careful is about 2 tasks a week, Balanced 4, Fast 8. Changing the horizon or pace re-spreads the planned tasks.
What's the difference between the approval modes?
In Ask for everything, no task runs without approval. In Ask only for code and publishing, PRs, publishing, rules and posts need approval, while measurements and syncs run on their own. In Fully automatic, everything runs automatically. In every mode, code is never written straight to the main branch.
When do tasks run?
A scheduler checks for due tasks every hour and runs the ones that pass the approval and budget rules. To run a task without waiting, click Run now.
Where do I see tasks waiting for approval?
On the workspace's Approvals tab. It collects tasks awaiting approval, manual tasks, re-analysis proposals, tasks waiting for budget and failed tasks. You also get a “Workspace needs approval” notification; for email setup see Emails not arriving.
What does “Your turn” mean?
The task is manual work and the system is waiting for you. Once you've done it, click I did it. If the task is about a technical issue, the next crawl checks whether the issue is really gone.
Why does “Waiting for budget” appear?
The site's AI spend this week has passed the workspace's Weekly AI budget. The task is rescheduled when the new week starts. If you don't want to wait, raise the budget on the Settings tab.
What happens in the weekly cycle?
Every Monday the site is re-analyzed, task proposals (Proposed) are created for new findings and the weekly report is written. Handle proposals with Add to plan or Reject. You can also trigger it any time with Run weekly cycle now.
Can I send the weekly report to my client?
Yes. Every report on the Reports tab has a share link. The report is also emailed to the recipient list on the Reports page. The first report is generated on the Monday after the workspace starts.
Why are some channels greyed out?
Greyed-out channels aren't connected for that site. For example, if no GitHub repository or WordPress plugin is connected, that channel can't be selected. Connect it on the site's Fix channels tab.
Can I pause or delete a workspace?
Pause stops tasks from running; Resume picks up where it left off. Deleting it from the Settings tab removes its tasks, log and reports; opened PRs and published content stay. When the horizon ends, the workspace becomes Completed on its own and you get a notification.
What should I do when a task fails?
Check the cause on the Log tab. If it's AI-related, see AI errors. After fixing it, click Retry on the Approvals tab.
